Obituary for Williams

Lois Trumble Williams, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1999, died Tuesday, January 2, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Patte Patterson and husband, Jim of Seattle, WA; grandson, Peter Jensen and wife, Regina of Colorado springs, CO; her sister, Maurine Romme and husband, Howard of Albuquerque. In 1999 she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert of 53 years. Lois was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Roach, who died in 1997, and her brother, Maurice R. Trumble, who died in 1999. Lois attended UNM and was a member of Chi Omega sorority. After graduation in 1943, she joined the US Navy and served as communication officer LTjg in San Francisco until 1947. She lived in San Francisco and Seattle until Herb retired from the Boeing Corporation, after which the family moved to Arlington, TX. Lois continued with her love of music as part time teacher until she became executive secretary for C&H Trucking Co. of Dallas, TX. Most summers included a family reunion in Wagon Mound, NM with parents and grandparents, Maurice W. and Grace Trumble. Since moving to Albuquerque, Lois was active in Sanado Women's Club and St. Luke Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE, at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2001 with Pastor Harold Nilsson, officiating. Graveside Services will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.
