Bill D. Schutte, 53, of Clovis, New Mexico died January 6, 2001 at Plains Regional Medical Center, Clovis, New Mexico. He was born April 18, 1947 in Del Rio, Texas to Ben & Jewel Jordan Schutte. He was a member of AMVETS Post #14 in Clovis, New Mexico and American Legion Post 574 in Moreno Valley, California. He was also a member of the Eagles. He served in the United States Navy "Sea-Bee's" and served in Vietnam. He is survived by his fiancee, Mary LeClear of the home; a son, Steve Schutte of Peoria, Arizona; his mother, Jewel Schutte of Wichita Falls, Texas; two brothers, Wesley Schutte of Wichita Falls, Texas and Freddie Schutte of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Linda of Wichita Falls, Texas; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at Steed-Todd Chapel, Clovis, New Mexico. Rev. Tom Wilson will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaylynn, Stetson & Tuffy.
