Obituary for Medina

Felipe L. Medina, born August 11, 1909, passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on November 3, 2001. He was born on a ranch in Quay County near Saladito, New Mexico, to Cipriano and Louisa Medina. After a hard life of ranching, farming and railroad work in Quay County, he moved the family to Albuquerque in 1958. For the next 30 years, Felipe was engaged in construction work. His wife, Isabel; son, Louis; daughter, Laura and daughter, Josephine precede him in death; his sons, Nick Medina of Albuquerque, Phil and wife, Mari Medina of Madera, CA, Ruben and wife, Lisa Medina of Albuquerque, David and wife, Josie Medina of Tucson, AZ, Ernie and wife, Carmen Medina of Madera, CA survive him; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren also survive him.
