Lois Evelyn Vickers, 77, passed away in Albuquerque, NM, Tuesday morning, November 20, 2001. She was born December 9, 1923 in Alamogordo, NM. Survivors include her husband, Col. Robert E. Vickers, Jr., (USAF Ret.) of Albuquerque; her mother-in-law, Ann K. Vickers, Albuquerque; her sister, Lajuanna Bruington and her niece, Cathryn Bruington both of Redding, CA; her niece, the Rev. Dru Fergurson of Dallas, TX; her close companion and loving care-giver, Rae Robinson of Albuquerque; and many close cousins, and other relatives and dear friends. Mrs. Vickers was a member of the Travis Park United Methodist Church in San Antonio, TX, and during her professional career, served as Financial Director for medical associates and for a large plant nursery firm. Graveside Services, with interment, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2001 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Mrs. Vickers' niece, the Rev. Dru Ferguson, of Dallas, TX will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 525 San Pedro Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
