Obituary for Nunez

Mary Ann Nunez, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 21, 2001. Mary Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She is survived by one son, Phillip Nunez and wife, Kathy; two daughters, Juanita Archuleta and husband, Sonny, Julie Gonzales and husband, Benjie all of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Benjamin, Benetta and Andrew, all of Albuquerque; a sister, Mary Davis and husband, Dave of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Michael Carrillo and wife, Martye of Phoenix and John Carrillo of Albuquerque; her father, Benito Sena of Casper, WY; many other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was born in Santa Rosa, NM and moved to Albuquerque at an early age. She worked as an Optometric Assistant for over 35 years, retiring in June of 1999. Mary Ann was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. by Mrs. Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Manuel Viera. Interment will follow in the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will Andrew Archuleta, Benjamin Gonzales, Danny Nevarez, Cruz Nevarez, Charlie Nevarez and Joe Nevarez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW in charge of arrangements.
