Obituary for Zanotti

Baldina Zanotti, passed away November 16, 2001 at the age of 88. She moved to New Mexico, in 1945 where she worked as a buyer fro Joslin's Department Store. Her late husband Richard R. Zanotti, founded Richard Distributing Company, in which Baldina joined him and worked as Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of Richard Distributing Company, and served as a board member from 1945-1971, when they sold the business and retired. Baldina was the first woman to serve on the Board of Better Business Bureau, serving from 1972-1977. She served as an officer on the board of R.B.R. Company, and Z. Brokerage from 1972-1981. Baldina also served on the Board of the National Kidney Foundation of New Mexico and chaired the Patient Services from 1982-2000. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Santa Fe Opera, Albuquerque Guild, Albuquerque Museum Foundation, St. Joseph Health Care Auxiliary, Casa Angelica Auxiliary, the Petroleum Club, and the Four Hills Country Club. She is survived by a step-daughter, Judy Zanotti and husband, David Davis; three grandsons, Mark and wife, Linda Cantwell, Kevin and wife, Kathy Cantwell, and Scott Cantwell; nieces, Bonnie Bright-Wozniak and husband, Frank Wozniak, Julie Bright Doremus, Donna Bright Jugert, Denise Bennett, Paulette Young, and Jennifer Arguelles, and Debra Ann Marks; nephews, Richard L. Zanotti, R.A. "Tony" and wife, Cecile Zanotti, and Rico Zanotti; five great-grandchildren and many valued and cherished friends. A visitation will be held Tuesday November 20, 2001 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Services are pending and will be announced at a later press time. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wilhelmina Coe Kidney Foundation PO Box 14238 Albuquerque, NM 87111. Services are under the direction of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE.
