Obituary for Bachmann

Arthur L. "Art" Bachmann Jr., born in Wheeling, WV on June 10, 1948, and a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully Wednesday, November 14, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Bachmann of Albuquerque; sons, Arthur Lewis Bachmann III and wife, Kari and Matthew W. Bachmann and wife, Melissa, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Jamie Jordan and husband, Shawn of Manhattan Beach, CA; grandchildren, Kaylee, Sadie and Jordyn; parents, Arthur Lewis Sr. and Madelon Bachmann of Albuquerque; sister, Linda Smith and husband, Billy; aunt, Betty Ward and husband, Bob; brother-in-law, John Benda and wife, Sandi; and nieces and nephew, Stephanie, Kathy, Johnette, Julie, Deanna, and Billy G. Mr. Bachmann was a graduate of Highland High School, serving as president of D.E.C.A. Club his Senior year. He also served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Bachmann worked in sales and management with Sears for many years. Art loved writing music, enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in the church choir. He even sang in the Albuquerque Boy Choir and played with an instrumental trio while in high school, providing music for various functions. The light of his life is his granddaughters. A celebration of Art's life was held Sunday, November 18, 2001. Private interment took place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
