Obituary for Cushing

William "Bill" Cushing, 65, a resident of Cedar Crest, died Saturday, March 3, 2001. He is survived by his wife, of 18 years, Kathleen Cushing, of Cedar Crest; sons, Kenton Walz, of Albuquerque, Jerry Walz and wife, Alisha of Tijeras, Danny Walz and wife, Marcia, of Albuquerque, Robert Cushing and wife, Carole of Kansas City; daughters, Barbara and husband, Bill Johnstad of Cedar Crest, Martha Reid and husband, Mark of Albuquerque, Vicki Cushing of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Christopher Cushing, William Cushing, Russell Walz, Kelley Walz, Devon Walz, Eric Walz, Ryne Walz, MacKenzie Walz, Kathleen Walz, Christopher Johnstad, Philip Johnstad, Brandon Walz, Jordan Walz, Jeremy Reid, and James Reid; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marge Pearsol and husband, Buck; aunts, Bernice Cushing and Margaret Ware. Bill operated a successful construction company in Silver City, NM, throughout the '70s to the early '80s when he relocated to Cedar Crest, NM, where he and his wife, Kathleen, purchased the Burger Boy restaurant on N. Hwy. 14. He was a known and respected friend in the east mountain area. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2001, 9:00 a.m., at French Mortuary Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
