Eileen E. Garcia, 41, a lifelong resident of Peralta, while surrounded by her family passed away on March 1, 2001. passed away March 1, 2001 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 7, 1959. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Victoria C.Tapia and her paternal grandmother, Amalia Garcia. Eileen is survived by her loving mother whom she resided with, Rosie Tapia Garcia; her father, Osben Garcia of Peralta; her maternal grandfather, Ofelio J. Tapia of Peralta; her brothers and sisters, Gene Garcia and wife, Barbara, Kathy Garcia, Herman Garcia and wife, Jeri, all of Peralta, Regina Soto and husband, Mike, and James Garcia, all of NV; two nieces, Bernadette Deats and Emilia Garcia; seven nephews, Mikie and Raymond Soto, Max Montoya, Christopher, Alfredo, James II and Juan Garcia; one great-grand nephew, Kane Deats; and one great-grand niece, Kendra Deats, who were Eileen's pride and joy. She is also survived by her two special aunts, Lita Maez and Frances Griego, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Eileen will be greatly missed by all who know and loved her. A viewing will be held this Sunday, 5:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Peralta, NM followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Monday,10:00 a.m. with Interment in the Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mikie and Raymond Soto, Max Montoya, Christopher, Alfredo, James II, and Juan Garcia, and Mark Gallegos. Honary Pallbearers will be Tere Gallegos, Anita Griego, Yvonne Maez, and Mela Garcia. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM.
