Rita Anne Campbell died Friday, March 2, 2001. She was born July 7, 1949 in Lubbock, TX. She is survived by three children, Joe Neal Freeland of Elko, NV, Christopher M. Freeland, Albuquerque, NM, and Gayla S. Freeland of Las Cruces, NM; one brother, John Mack Campbell and family, Corrales, NM; and one sister, Nita Taylor and family, Albuquerque, NM. Rita was raised in Capitan, NM where she married Joseph Freeland in 1966. They spent their early married lives in the Navy at various duty stations throughout the United States. Rita is at peace. She had boundless energy, a free-spirited nature and a great love for her family and home. Rita's smile, laugh and gift of gab would light up the room and elevate the spirits of those with whom she shared friendships. She will be missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 5, 2001 at Chapel of Sandia, Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, NM at 6:00 p.m.
