Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday March 04, 2001

Marvin Baggett Jr. "I know your life on earth was troubled and only you could know the pain. You weren't afraid to face the devil. You were no stranger to the rain. Go rest high on that mountain son, your work on earth is done. I wish I could see the angels faces when they hear your sweet voice sing."Marvin Baggett Jr., 75, passed away on February 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Reeva Sue; brother, Bill; sister, Beulah; son, Marvin; daughter, Rita; granddaughter, Gretchen; and their families. A country lawyer for 35 years, Marvin will be remembered for his generous heart, fierce determination and sage advice. He taught us the importance of family and to nourish our independent spirit. He will be sorely missed by family and friends, until we meet again someday.Private services will be followed by a "prayer meeting" on March 10, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rio Grande Cantina.
