Frank S. Hammond Jr, age 78, a resident of Albuquerque for 26 years died September 22, 2001. Survivors include one daughter, Matlena Hammond; step-daughter, Debra Brown; one son, Gerald Hammond all of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Octavia Stewart of Denver, CO; one brother, Cavalier Hammond of Pittsburgh, PA; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Frank is preceded in death by his wives, Matlena J, and Constance N. He was a member of both the D.A.V. & V.F.W. A Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday September 27, 2001 at Shepherd Lutheran Church 3900 Wyoming with Pastor Mark Ochsankehl Officiant. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm Thursday, September 27, 2001 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
