Wayne K. Thurston, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on February 6, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Georgiana; sons, Wayne O. Thurston and his wife, Peggy, Michael William and his wife, Natalie; stepsons, Robert Holcomb and his wife, Sandra, Richard Holcomb and his wife, Karen; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Mills; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Wayne was a member of the Albuquerque Kiwanis Club and received the Hixon Award for his outstanding service. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 811 Guaymas Place, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 on Wednesday, February 4, 2001 at 1:00 p.m., celebrated by Father Louis Jaramillo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your favorite charity. Cremation arrangements by the Sunrise Society of NM, 891-8200.
