Obituary for Malkoski

Stanley J. Malkoski, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 11 years, died on Saturday, January 27, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons, Mark of Morenci, AZ, Tom and wife, Kris of Chicago, and Jim and wife, Denise of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Alex, Kaelyn, John, Mark and Lili; sister, Nellie of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts; sisters-in-law, Anne Parsons of Gilford, Barbara Mall of Columbia, MD and Mildred Malkoski of West Boyleston, MA; and by many nieces and nephews. Stanley was preceded in death by brothers Adolph, Vincent and Paul, brother-in-law, Robert Richardson, and parents, Ursula and Andrew Malkoski. He was born July 3, 1925 in Massachusetts and graduated from Worchester Classical High School in Worchester, MA in 1943. Upon graduation, Stanley enlisted in the United States Army and served his country in Europe during World War II. When the war ended, Stanley attended radio school in Boston and became a radio technician at WLNH radio station in Laconia, New Hampshire. There he met Dorothy Richardson, whom he married on October 16, 1948. Stanley and Dorothy were blessed with the births of three sons. After five years at WLNH Stan was employed for sixteen years, primarily as a machine designer, at Scott and Williams in Laconia, New Hampshire. In 1969 he became a machine designer for Allen Rogers, also in Laconia, and retired in 1985. Stanley and Dorothy moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1990. Stanley's hobbies included mineralogy, photography and sculpting. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2001 at The Meadows Clubhouse, 7112 Pan American Freeway NE.
