Frances E. Dennis, 89, a resident of Albuquerque for 43 years, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2001. She is survived by her son, William R. Dennis and wife, Mary of Albuquerque; and brother-in-law, Joe Dennis and wife of Fort Worth, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Z. Dennis; father, Hans Kohncke; mother, Della Kohncke; and brothers, William Kohncke and Robert Kohncke and his wife, Louise. Mrs. Dennis was a member of the Albuquerque Progress Womens Club, and a member of the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed many hobbies, one of which was oil painting. She attended Normal College in Bloomington, IL and taught elementary school. Mrs. Dennis later taught business school at Draughons Business College in Albuquerque. When she retired, she was employed by the New Mexico Department of Social Services as a case worker. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Joyce Lieberman officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Wednedsay, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
