Rolland J. Lester, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Thursday, January 25, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Eva Lester of the family home, married October 1, 1931; three grandchildren, Donna, Mike Sherman and Mark Lester; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Scherner; brother, Browney Lester; and special friend, Edna Cisneros. Mr. Lester was preceded in death by his son, Donald E. Lester. He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church. Mr. Lester retired from Singer Sewing Company. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Stephen Sutherland officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Monday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
