Arthur J. Kropp Sr. Lt. Col. Ret. USA, age 83, an Albuquerque resident since 1948 died December 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Marie of Albuquerque, NM; two sons, Arthur J. (Jack) Kropp Jr. and wife, Eve of Albuquerque, NM, Stephen L. Kropp and wife, Deborah of Ft. Collins, CO; five grandchildren, Jacquolyn, Lee, Melanie, Michael and Jorie; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Rebecca and Corrianne. Arthur was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church and was an avid cribbage player. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20, 2001 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the resurrection will be Friday, December 21, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 833 Arizona St. with Fr. Tom Mayefske officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Steve Gongora, Bud Buell, Ron Gniotczynski, Danny Nunez, Edward Nunez, Michael Hamsing and Lee Kropp. Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors is handling the arrangements.
