LeRoy Cook Munhausen Broeder passed away March 20, 2003 in Brenham, Texas. LeRoy was born in the Houston Heights on April 26, 1915. He retired as an Exchange Engineer from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in June, 1977, after 41 years of service. During his working years and his retirement in Albuquerque, New Mexico, LeRoy donated many hours as a volunteer firefighter/EMS with the Houston, LaPorte, Spring Branch and Bernalillo fire departments. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bammel Broeder; and one daughter, Patricia Harrison, both of Albuquerque; two sons, Clifford and wife, JoAnn of Spring , TX, and Kenneth and wife, Pat, of Stephenville, TX; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Services will be held at Forest Park Cemetery Chapel of the Angels on March 24, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. with the Reverend J. C. Henning officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church Building Fund, 14225 Hargrave Road, Houston, TX 77070 or a charity of your choice.
