David R. Sandon was born on January 8, 1955. He passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2003. David was born and raised in Minnesota. After serving his country in the United States Navy, he made his home in Belen. David is preceded in death by his father, Roy Sandon in 1989; his mother, June Sandon in 1990; his brother-in-law, Paul Williams in 2002; his father-in-law, Alfredo Montoya in 1982; his brother-in-law, David Montoya in 1987; and his mother-in-law, Elisa Montoya in 1991. David is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lorraine Sandon; his children and best friends, Justin, Jered, and Davrie, all of the family home in Belen; his sister, Diane Williams; his brothers, Rob and his special friend, Mary; Rick and his wife, Lori of Minnesota; Randy and his wife, Stephanie of Albuquerque; his brother-in-laws, Joseph and his friend, Clara of Belen; Gary and his wife, Estefana; and Roland Montoya and his friend, Carol; his sister-in-laws, Patricia Peralta and her husband Henry; Berlinda Sanchez and her husband, Patrick; and Mary Jane Salazar and her husband, Antonio; his friends, John Chavez; Mike Otero; Steve Chavez; Henry Peralta; Holly Wilson; and Benny Hodges. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with a viewing on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. with Father David Gallegos officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Justin and Jered Sandon; John Chavez; Benny Hodges; Henry Peralta; Matt Williams; Steve Chavez; and Santiago Carrillo.
