David William Higgins, 58, a resident of Albuquerque since 1987, passed away on February 26, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Colleen Ann Higgins of Albuquerque; two sons, John Patrick Higgins and wife, Sherry of Johnson City, NY and Shawn David Higgins of Albuquerque; a daughter, Heather Higgins Meek and husband, Jason of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Delaney Kathryn Higgins, Austin Jason Meek and Brady William Meek; mother, Margaret Gertrude Higgins of Lyons, NY; two brothers, Thomas Higgins and wife, Patty of Mawah, NJ and Craig Higgins of Apache Junction, AZ; a sister, Ann Higgins McBride and husband, Bill of Leonardtown, MD. David is also survived by several nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Higgins, II and a brother, Nicholas Higgins, III. David was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church and a member of the Irish American Society of New Mexico. Service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church, 4800 All Saints Rd. NW with The Reverend Philip L. Wangberg, officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the All Saints Lutheran Church and/or to the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, 505 N. Parkway, Memphis, TN 38105.
