Arita H. Courville, 93, born in Attleborough, MA, on December 21, 1909, passed on peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, from complications of pneumonia. Mrs. Courville was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Albert L. Courville in December 1960. She is survived by their two daughters, Audrey Ryan and Barbara Shepherd (Jim), of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Keli Watts (Ian) of Kettering, England, Patricia Birge (Scotty) of Cape Canaveral, FL and Michael Ryan of Hilliard, OH, Gregory Shepherd (Lucy) of Phoenix, AZ and Robert Shepherd (Shelly) and Duane Shepherd of Flagstaff, AZ. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Cassandra and Rhiannon Watts, Lindsay and Daniel Birge, James Michael Ryan, Jr., Abigail and Benjamin Shepherd, Nathan Mertz, and Megan Shepherd. Services for Mrs. Courville will be conducted by The Reverend David Luckenbach at St. Mark's On-The-Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, on Saturday, February 22, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. Persons wishing to make a donation in Mrs. Courville's memory are invited to do so to the Mission and Outreach Program at St. Marks's Episcopal Church.
