Ernest E. Chavez, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2003 in Albuquerque. Ernest was preceded in death by his brother, Manuel Chavez. Ernest is survived by sons, Ernest Francisco Kiko Chavez and wife, Bonnie, George Chavez and wife, Gloria, Louie Chavez and wife, Cathy; daughter, Connie Joyce Vick and husband, Ray; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Tony Chavez and wife, Sophie; other nephews; nieces; family and friends that loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. A Rosary will be recited Friday, February 14, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
