Obituary for Navarro

Carolyn L. Navarro, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, passed away at home after an unexpected illness. She was born in the month of November in Laramie, WY. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Romero; her mother, Oma Romero; and brother, Myles. She is survived by her beloved family; beloved husband, Efren Navarro; daughter, Kathy Carr and husband, David of Rio Rancho; and grandchildren, Jason, Patrick and Kevin Carr. She is also survived by brother, Herman Lee Romero and wife, Kathy of Dripping Springs, TX and their children, Justin and Amy; stepmother, Wanda Romero of Cheyenne, WY; stepbrother, Bill Gwin of Cheyenne, WY; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Quaranta and daughter, Analyssa of Carlsbad, CA; cousins, Nancy and Ted Snyder and children, Dan and Kristen, Mary Ann and Harry Rigg, Jim and Betty Sweeney and Sophia and Bob Schmidt; mother-in-law, Rosa Navarro; sisters-in-law, Olga and Martha; and brothers-in-law, Marc, Hector, Jamie, Jesus, Armando and Gunther Cohn. Other survivors include dear friends, Artie and John Polk, Esther and Frank Welp, Julia and Gary Stone, Jenny and Leon Cruz and Karen Houston. Carolyn was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community and Knights of Columbus #5729 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a paralegal and office manager for Attorney John Polk for 21 years and took great pride in her work. She loved to travel and enjoyed the theatre. Above everything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. We are comforted knowing that she is with Jesus in heaven and no longer in any pain. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
