Richard D. Metz, 54, a resident of Albuquerque for 35 years, passed away on February 9, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Katherine of Albuquerque; one daughter, Erica Chiado and husband, Michael of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Tanis, Patrisha, Rand, Logan and Kaitlin Chiado; mother, Georgia Metz of Belen; two sisters, Wilma Stanton of Reserve, NM and Jeanne Brixey and husband, Bud of Albuquerque; one brother, Noble C. Metz Jr. and wife, Barbara of Albuquerque. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Noble C. Metz Sr. Richard worked as manager at Pitre GMAC. Service will take place on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW with Chaplain Lemuel Boyles, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the All Saints of North America Eastern Orthodox Church, 10420 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
