Obituary for Lynn

Mrs. Ethel Lee Lynn, 89, a resident of Albuquerque for 63 years, passed away Sunday morning, February 2, 2003 at her home at 10509 Schenley Park after a brief illness. Mrs. Lynn was born Ethyl Lee Houchens on October 15, 1913 in Glasgow, Kentucky. She was one of nine children and the daughter of Holly and Nettie Neagle Houchens. Her father was a farmer and photographer. She married Lacy Britt in 1939 and moved to Albuquerque in 1940. Mrs. Lynn was a dedicated Christian who supported many ministries. She loved to help friends in need and to visit the sick in nursing homes and hospitals. Mrs. Lynn is survived by her daughters, Judy Amador of Albuquerque and Marcia Odom of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Tamara Davenport of Albuquerque, Michele Ridenhour of El Paso, TX and Edward Coleman of San Antonio, TX; her brother, Thomas Houchens of Glasgow, KY; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming blvd. Chapel. Private interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pastor Chuck Kofahl of Tramway Community Church, where she was a member, will officiate.
