Obituary for Sypulski

Mrs. Greta M. Sypulski, 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died on Monday, January 27, 2003. She was born in Downs, KS on Saturday, October 13, 1906. Mrs. Sypulski is survived by her husband, John,"Jack", of Albuquerque; sister, Mrs. Marie G. Thomas of Peoria, AZ; two nephews and many grandnephews and grandnieces. She graduated from the University of Kansas. Mrs. Sypulski taught school for 25 years in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Montana, California and in Albuquerque, NM, in junior high and high schools prior to retiring in 1962. She had a wide circle of friends and was an accomplished player in duplicate bridge having acquired the prized life master status of the American Contract Bridge League enjoying many regional and national tournaments in which she participated. Following her husband's retirement in 1972, both traveled extensively for many years to foreign countries, visiting all continents except Antarctica. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2003, 3:00 p.m., French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Reverend Charlie Price, officiating. Following cremation, burial will be with her parents at the Downs, Kansas Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
