Obituary for Romero

Fidel G. Romero was received into the arms of our Lord on January 25, 2003. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Adelina G. Romero, also his wife of 43 years Amalia Romero. A beloved father, husband, son, grandfather, father in law and great grand father. He served in the US Army and is a veteran of World War II, and received an honorable discharge. He retired from Ed Blacks Chevrolet Center after 44 years of hard work as a Tow Truck driver, often being on call 24 hours a day. He will be missed tremendously although our hearts are broken he is at peace, no more suffering no more pain just eternal life. We will all wait for the day when we will see him again. His love that he had for his family was a special love. Always there to help in any way he could. We will carry his love and his memory every day or our lives. He is survived by his eight children. Nancy Villas, Irene Garcia and husband, Carmen, Isabel Romero, Fidel Jr. and wife, Ramona, Robert, Andrew and wife, Margie, Richard and Darlene Romero; grandchildren Gilbert Jr., Michael, Angela, Ricardo, Christa, Fidel III, Eric, Kathleen, Valerie, Robert Jr., Sharon, Daniel, Andrew Jr. (Guy), Jennifer and Kimberly; great-grandchildren, Sharon, Erica, Michael Jr., Monique, Zach, Brianna, LeAnna, Monique Adelina and Sydney Amalia; one great-great-granddaughter, Crystal Passion; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his dog, Cinnamon. Rest in peace and may the angels watch over you. We love you and we will miss you. Visitations for Mr. Romero will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Stover Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. also at the St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Villas Jr., Michael Villas, Ricardo Garcia, Fidel Romero III, Eric Romero, Andrew Romero Jr. (Guy), Robert Romero Jr. and Daniel Romero.
