Obituary for Cooper

Ursula V. Cooper, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947, died Sunday, January 19, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Rexford M. Cooper; daughters, Sandra Coyer and Cynthia Gallegos and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Ron and Ray Gallegos, all of Albuquerque, Bonnie and husband, Cyrus of California and Laura and husband, James of Washington; and Ursula's sister, Barbara Tosch and husband, Don of Oregon. Ursula received her Masters Degree in Education at the University of Oregon. She taught school for 25 years in numerous states including California, Georgia, Oregon and Texas, as well as, Germany and retired from A.P.S. Ursula was a member of A.A.U.W. and a member of the Old Glass Club, which she loved. She was a volunteer at the Museum of Natural History in the Education department, and was a published author. Ursula loved the ocean and the desert and taking long walks on both. She and her husband enjoyed playing contract bridge, which they did during their world travels. A Graveside Service was held Friday, January 24, 2003 at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 8100 Mountain Rd.
