Joseph ¯Joe¯ A. Gurule, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, passed away January 20, 2003. A Second World War Veteran, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lou Gurule; one son, Charles and wife, Georgia of Pueblo, CO.; one daughter, Diane Miller and husband of California; two sisters, Lillian Sandoval and Janette Maestas of Colorado; five granddaughters and two grandsons. Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas NE. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2003. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2003, with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW.
