Obituary for Moyer

Richard C. Moyer, 81, a resident of Albuquerque died Wednesday, January 8, 2003. Richard was born and raised in Tama, Iowa. He lived in Albuquerque for 50 years where he married and raised a family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian J. Mechenbier Moyer. He is survived by his five children, Marilyn Moyer, Renee Kern and her husband, Terry, Charlene Kauzlaric and her husband, Russ, Jerome Moyer and his wife, Dawn and Joe Moyer, all reside in Albuquerque. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Mia, Andy, and Adam Kern, Alex and Katelyn Kauzlaric who always looked forward to each Sunday's family dinner with their grandfather. They enjoyed his loving presence in their lives. Richard loved to go to the baseball park to watch his grandchildren play ball. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the Pacific. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1981 and spent many years doing volunteer work. Richard was a devout Catholic, a very strong believer in God and had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening January 10, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at John XXIII Catholic Community 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. NE. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, January 11, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at John XXIII. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
