Beatrice"Bea"Burke Rowe, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at The Montebello of Albuquerque. She was born in Cleveland, OK on August 11, 1911 to James and Olive McMullen Burke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Espie C. Rowe of Corpus Christi, TX. Until 1979, she was one of the leading couturiers for the Buccaneer Days Court in Corpus Christi, Texas annual celebration. Beatrice was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, TX since 1957. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Turner Hereford and husband, William of Albuquerque and Mary Anne Sinclair of Corpus Christi, TX. She adored and admired all of her grandchildren, Robert Lawrence Turner, Sharon Kathleen Davidson, Joseph Tolson Wray, Christopher Burke Wray, and Katherine Marie Minor. Her extra special blessings were her ten great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Minor, Jennifer and Trevor Turner, Derek Wray, Ashley, Savannah and Alannah Davidson, and Hanna, Kaleb and Nathan Wray. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Thursday, January 9, 2003, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services and interment will take place Monday, January 13, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at Seaside Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 4357 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, TX. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 12, 2003, at Seaside Memorial Chapel, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Larry Turner, Ron Davidson, Tolson Wray, Burke Wray, Charles Minor and William Hereford. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Minor and Joe Wray. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!
