Obituary for Woody

Betty Hill Parsley Woody, a resident of Albuquerque for almost 50 years, passed away on December 30, 2002, just one day after celebrating her 97th birthday. Betty was born in Westwood, Virginia on December 29, 1905. Betty devoted her life to her precious children and her family. She was fond of gardening, was an avid reader and loved working on puzzles. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Col. Kenyon Woody and her grandson Bruce Kenyon Wood. She is survived by her children; Charles Kenyon and wife Katherine of Annapolis MD, Barbara R. Rickard and husband Edward of Denver CO, Judith Anne Bateman and husband Samuel of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cremation will take place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Humane Society of New Mexico.
