LaVerne Anna Becker, 75, a resident of Rio Rancho, and coming to New Mexico from Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2002. LaVerne was born April 21, 1927 the daughter of Louis W. and Eleanor Hintz Post in Racine, Wisconsin. She had worked as an Office Supervisor for the Wacker Corp. before retiring. LaVerne loved quilting, painting, gardening, traveling; she had been President of Women of the ELCW; was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; was an active member of community service, and involved in her church. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Ralph Becker in 1991, one brother, Robert Post, and her parents. LaVerne is survived by three children, Ralph Becker and wife, Deborah, Carol Anderson and husband, Brant, all of Wisconsin, and Tina Burwinkle and husband, Hal of Rio Rancho, NM; two sisters; seven grandchildren; and other family and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. at the All Saints Lutherna Church, 4800 All Saints Rd.
