Carmen D. Sanchez, 77, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mike F."Babe" Sanchez of Albuquerque; daughter, Kathy McLendon and husband Bill of Albuquerque; 3 stepsons, Bobby Sanchez and wife Francis of Corona, CA, Michael Sanchez and wife Pat of Las Vegas, NV, and Joe Sanchez and wife Pamela of Bernalillo, NM; one sister, Ana G. Ortiz of Albuquerque; aunt, Emma Garcia of La Luz, NM; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eligio and Eliza Garcia; brother, Leo"Junior" Garcia; and sister, Marie Garcia. Carmen attended St. Francis School and Loretto Academy in Santa Fe. She was employed at various state, county, and city offices. Visitation will be at French Mortuary - Lomas Blvd. Chapel on Monday, February 24, 2003 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation. Memorial Rosary of will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at French Mortuary - Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is pending.
