Phyllis Van Auken, 75, passed away after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her husband Ivan in 1990. Survivors include Karen Kelso and husband, Russ of Corrales, Kurt Van Auken and wife, Ginger of Bloomfield, NM; brother, Paul Lozier and wife, Viola of Stanhope, NJ; grandchildren, Jason, Kirsten, Lindsie, Sara and newest grandchild due June 2nd, Jannetjen Phyllis May; many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jason Van Auken, John Owens, Jason Tracy, Jeremy Gerber, Steve Varley, Nathan Varley, Eric Varley, Mitch Varley, and Ronald Kelso. Viewing and visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2003 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2003 in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary with Rev. Robert R. Olsen officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
