Kenneth Robert Jr., 55, passed away on March 6, 2003 at his residence in Bernalillo, in the presence of his family. Kenneth was a kind and generous soul who was dearly loved by his family, his co-workers, and members of his community. Kenneth, the oldest of three, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 26, 1947 to Ruth and Kenneth Pickard Sr., who preceded him in death. He spent most of his childhood growing up in the Chicago suburb of Lake Bluff, Illinois. Together with his new wife, Jean, who he met working at a local hospital, they relocated to Wake Forest, North Carolina, where Kenneth pursued a Physician's Assistant degree at Wake Forest University. In the summer of 1978, Kenneth, his wife, four-year-old son, Jake, and newly-born daughter, Amy, relocated to Bernalillo, New Mexico, where he accepted a position at the El Pueblo Health Clinic as a Physician's Assistant. He worked at the El Pueblo Health Clinic until 1986, at which time he accepted a position at the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Albuquerque where he continued to work until several weeks prior to his death. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Amy and Jessica; and son, Jake, from Bernalillo; mother, Ruth Pickard; sister, Joan Green; nephew, Chris Plowman; and niece, Lynne Plowman from Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and brother, Tim Pickard from Denver, Colorado.
