Obituary for Browning

Elizabeth"Bette" Browning, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 60 years, passed away peacefully at Manzano del Sol, Wednesday, March 5, 2003 after a long struggle with diabetes and heart disease. She is survived by her son, Scott Browning and wife, Frances of Albuquerque; daughter, Donna Looseley and husband, Don of Southport, NC; sisters, Loretta Hendryx of Albuquerque and Carol McMeen of Springfield, MO; brothers, Samuel Spohr and wife, Louise of Albuquerque and Harold Spohr and wife, Leona of Woodburn, OR; sisters-in-law, Lorene Spohr of Mesa, AZ and Jerry Spohr of Kingman, AZ; brother-in-law, C.L. Browning of Boyd, TX; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jesse and Maureen Hayes of Shallowater, TX; and grandchildren, Don Reinheardt and wife, Khristina, Andrew Browning and Kenneth Browning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Browning; and brothers, Richard and Thurlow Spohr. Bette was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church, Four Hills Country Club and Daughters of the Nile. Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
