Mrs. Jennie S. Padilla, 79, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away Thursday. Mrs. Padilla is survived by her daughter Toni Garcia and husband, Edwardo of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Eddie Garcia, Eric Garcia and Jezelle and Denise Telles and husband, Jose; seven great-grandchildren, Cassandra Gurule, Anna Marie Garcia, Bonnie Garcia, Jasmine and Eric Garcia, Eva and Andrew Telles; one sister-in-law, Jennie Serrano and special friends. Mrs. Padilla was a member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she was past President of the American Legion Post 13 women's auxiliary; she was involved the with the DAV Chapter #3, Post 72 and also the VFW Women's Auxiliaries. Mrs. Padilla volunteered at the Veterans Administration Hospital for 15 years. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. today at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment of cremation will take place at Fairview Memorial Park.
