Obituary for Hoffman

Harold S. Hoffman, LT. Col (retired), 82, passed away March 12, 2003 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anne Salopek Hoffman; and seven devoted children, Harold Hoffman Jr., Judith Ann and husband, Patrick Murphy, Gloria Smelker, Bill and Elizabeth Hoffman, Robert Hoffman, Donald and Vicky Hoffman and Mary Hoffman; sisters, Anna Belle Burrow, and Mildred and husband, Clarence Hust; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Harold Hoffman retired civil service and military career span of 52 years, during which he received numerous medals and awards in service to his country. He will be dearly missed by many friends and family. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2003 in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 1818 Coal Ave. Pl SE with Fr. Julian Russo Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Carrizozo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mother Cabrini Shrine 20189 Cabrini Blvd, Golden CO 80401.
