Obituary for Werito

Joe Gale Werito, age 50, was born in Albuquerque, NM., February 27, 1953. He was a lifelong resident of Tohajiilee, New Mexico. Joe, a Minister at Metropolitan Temple Church of God in Christ in Albuquerque, loved to play the guitar, sing gospel music and attend tent revivals. Joe was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed the Denver Broncos. He was preceded in death by his dad Gale; two brothers, Thomas and Peter; and one sister Alice. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Anna; six children, Jolene Fernando, Lori Lea Werito, Brian Werito, Abel Werito, Antoinette Lynn Werito and Aaron T. Werito; mother Elsie; three brothers, Andy Werito, Herman Werito, and Noah Werito; three sisters, Pauline Guerro, Ann Werito, and JoAnn King; six grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved and will miss him. A Visitation will be held at Metropolitan Temple Church of God in Christ, 1120 2nd St. NW. (2ND and Mountain Rd.), on Friday, April 4, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Metropolitan Temple Church of God in Christ, on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in his home town at the reservation in Tohajiilee, NM., west of Albuquerque.
