Obituary for Eimer

Guenther Max Eimer, 80, of Rio Rancho, passed away April 1, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Irmtraud Eimer and Ronald Montoya, the son he never had. Mr. Eimer was born in Germany on August 7, 1922, and moved to Buffalo, NY in 1927 with his family. In 1940, Guenther joined the Army as a paratrooper and was wounded in Okinawa on April 10, 1945. He was a World War II veteran and was honored with the Purple Heart. Guenther married Irmtraud on May 8, 1971 and has lived in New Mexico for the last 32 years. Guenther was ill for several long years. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, April 7, 2003, 11:00 am at Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, with military honors. Hillcrest Funeral Home 225 San Mateo NE 265-5959
