Obituary for Craft

Barbara K. Craft, age 86, was born in Great Bend, Kansas, November 17, 1917. She was the widow of the late Dean Craft, who was killed in World War II. Barbara lived in Albuquerque for over 50 years. Barbara worked for several United States Agencies; Federal Civil Service employee, Social Security Administration in its early years, Soil Conservation Service for more than 25 years, and she also worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, retiring as an administrative assistant to the regional director at the Albuquerque office. Barbara was a graduate of UNM, and after retirement she was involved in many volunteer activities including the Albuquerque Zoo, La Dera nursing home and the Taylor Ranch Library. Barbara is survived by her sister, Betty K. Lambert of Salina, Kansas; niece, Karen Black also of Salina, Kansas; nephew, Dr. Paul Lambert of Dayton, Ohio.
