Obituary for Reed

Robert"Bob" Reed, made the transition to a better world, Wednesday, April 9, 2003. He was born in Yates Center, Kansas and lived in New Mexico twice as a child, in 1938 and in 1941. Bob served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956, and moved back to New Mexico to stay in 1958. He worked the oil fields as a roughneck from 1956 to 1958, and then worked construction until 1976. In January of 1980, Bob opened Bosque Reality and sold it in 1984. He then worked at Atex Propane in 1988 and retired as manager in 1998. Bob is survived by his wife, Ilene Reed; mother, Irma Reed; four sons, Terry Reed and wife, Pam of Los Lunas, Jim Reed and wife, Angie, Rick Reed and wife, Gloria all of Albuquerque, and Ed Reed of Kentucky; step-daughter, Rhonda Lowe and husband, Randy of Colorado; sister, Pat Estep and husband, Steve; brother, Don Reed and wife, Jackie of Texas; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He loved his family and friends, hunting and fishing. Cremation has taken place. There will be a"bring your own" memorial picnic at Daniel Fernandez Park in Los Lunas, Saturday, April 19, 2003 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No flowers please.
