Loretta L. Owens, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1990, died Thursday, April 10, 2003. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Owens and wife, Sally of Aurora, CO and Mark Owens and wife, Sue of Lenexa, KS; three daughters, Sally Ratkovic and husband, Jim of Scottsdale, AZ, Su Faklis and husband, Peter of Albuquerque and Sara Owens of Burnsville, MN; grandchildren, Jenny and Tom Oriel, Shawn Owens, Kevin Ratkovic, Laura Ratkovic, Brian Ratkovic, David Owens, Emily Owens, Nicole Brellenthin, Jessica Brellenthin and Katie Brellenthin; great-grandson, Matthew Oriel; niece, Debbie Hagener; and nephew, Steve Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Owens, who was a retired school teacher; and her sister, Vivian Smith. Mrs. Owens was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, and needlework. She will be missed by all of her Albuquerque friends. Services will be held Monday, April 14, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at Joyce-Ryan Funeral Home in Madison, WI. Interment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, also in Madison.
