Mrs. Aurora M. Martinez died Monday, April 14, 2003 in Albuquerque at the age of 81. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband, Carlos Martinez; children, Carl Martinez and wife, Agnes, Diane Harsh and husband, Buzz, Rose Marie Martinez, Bernadette Miera and husband, Rick, and Mark Martinez; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Charlie Romero, Bertha White, Josephine Runnels, Horace Romero and Margaret Dye. To a wonderful mother who provided for her children and was always there for others. She had an undying love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all. Funeral Services for Mrs. Martinez will be held on Wednesday at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place on Thursday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dana Moore, Matthew Hursh, Sabastian Martinez, Carlos Miera, Stephen Miera and Mark Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Tenorio, Rick Miera and Buzz Hursh. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
