Emilia Bernal Trujillo, born October 8,1915, in Elephant Butte NM, and a life-long resident of Albuquerque, NM, has risen with the Lord on April 14, 2003 .She joins her husband, Celestino; her brothers, Fidel, Louie and Billy Bernal; her sister, Mary Sanchez; and, special niece, Viola Archibeque. She is survived by her son, Joseph; daughters, Chris Candelaria and husband, Pete, Mary Lou Baca and husband, Jesse; brother, Jesse Bernal and wife, Josie; sisters; Lollie Salinas and husband, Julian, Gloria Noriega and Audrey Guerra. Grandchildren include; Tommy Lopez, her special nurse, Reina Baca, Tina Bustos and husband, Ben, and Tom Candelaria. Step-grandchildren; Christopher Baca and wife Staci, Pete Luis Candelaria and wife, Laurie and Yvette Padilla. Great-grandchilren are; Angelica Lopez and the"love of her life" Christopher Bustos. She also leaves numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always had a smile for everyone, and loved this time of the year. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 20, 2003, 7:00 p.m,¯ at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 21, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Father Bob Chablot, Celebrant¯Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Pete Candelaria, Tom Candelaria, Ben Bustos, Christopher Baca, Amado Trujillo and Fidel Bernal.
