Bennie Vigil, born December 25, 1921, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Ricardita (Rita) Jinzo Vigil, whom he married on October 8, 1962; five sons; four daughters; three brothers; and one sister. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and nephews and nieces. Bennie was a veteran of the U.S. Army and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post 69, as well as the Disabled American Veterans. Rosary will be recited Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 7:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4th Street & Alameda NW. Prayer Services will be held Friday, April 25, 2003, at 9:00 a.m., also at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Perea, Jr., Billy Sanchez, Lorenzo Perea, Daniel Perea III, Pete Montoya, Richard Jinzo, Donald Jinzo and Ricardo Garcia.
