Obituary for Kitchen

George H. Kitchen, 77, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2003. George was born December 4, 1925 the son of George H.,Jr. and Laura Marie Doherty Kitchen in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He served in the US Army Intelligence, during WW II. George was company president and Research Scientist in the fuel and lubricant research and development business. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kitchen of the family home; children, Thomas G. Kitchen of Bryan, TX, and Kathleen K. Champignon of Bridgewater, NJ; one sister, Joanne Murray of Barnegat, NJ; two brothers, John K. Kitchen of Bedminster, NJ, and Edward F. Kitchen of Jeffersonton, VA; and three grandchildren, Jay R. Jones of Albuquerque, Christopher G. Champignon, and David T. Champignon. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 28, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jay Jones, Christopher Champignon, Thomas Kitchen, Ed Kitchen, John Kitchen, and Ray Kashmiri.
