Obituary for Chapman

Patricia L."Pat" Chapman, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Monday, April 28, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Howard D. Chapman of Albuquerque; sons, Howard A. Chapman and wife, Glenna, and Mike Chapman, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Susan Considine and husband, Michael of Dayton, OH; and sister, Mary Hubbie Dailey of Dover, DE. Pat loved to travel and took great pleasure in bringing back mementos and tales of her adventures. Her most recent trip was to Hawaii where at 69 she was kayaking and hiking. In her fifties, she went back to school, obtained an Associates Degree in Counseling. Pat was a volunteer for the Rape Crisis Center before she began a career as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor. She was a well-respected Counselor and was known for her sage advice. All who knew her will remember her as an avid baseball fan, a devoted and loving wife, mother and friend. Pat embraced life and all it had to offer. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2003, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa Av. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may choose to make donations to St. Andrew's building fund. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
