Lori Lynne Barton died Saturday, May 3, 2003. She is survived by husband Kevin, sons Shane and Dillon. She was preceded in death by son Dustin. Lori was born in Albuquerque, May 17, 1963 and was actively involved in Parents Reaching Out, a support organization for parents with handicapped children and issues involving the handicapped. She testified before Congress on damages relating to the DPT vaccine that resulted in changes made to the law. Lori was an avid speaker and great listener with a heart of gold, making friends in all walks of life. She is also survived by parents Bill and Sally Cleland, sister Veva Hanstad and husband Dann, brother Bill Cleland and wife Kricket, brother Joe Cleland and wife Nancy, parents-in-law Lloyd and Martha Barton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alta Mira Specialized Family Services at 1605 Carlisle Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
